Inventory Of SUV Sales Rankings in January, Mercedes-Benz GLC Enters The Top Five, Honda CRV Plummets

On February 15, the China Passenger Transport Association released the January SUV sales rankings. The cumulative sales of SUV models in January was 976,000 units, down 3 percent year-on-year and up 1.7 percent month-on-month. As soon as possible, many car companies "frozen" their sales in December. There was a month-on-month increase, but the overall sales of SUV models still declined year-on-year, and the SUV segment was not booming in January.
Looking at the top 15 SUV sales rankings as a whole, self-owned brands occupy 6 seats, namely Haval H6, Changan CS75, Changan CS55 (parameters | inquiry), BYD Song, Auchan X5, Hongqi HS5, among which, two Changan cars are in List; joint venture brands occupy 9 seats, namely Mercedes-Benz GLC, Qashqai, BMW X3, Tuyue, Binzhi, Honda CRV, Audi Q5, Tesla Model Y, Tiguan, joint venture brand BBA each has 1 seat, plus Tesla Pull Model Y, luxury brand sales performed well.
In addition, a total of 5 car sales in the list fell year-on-year, Honda CRV plummeted, down 39.7 percent year-on-year; 10 car sales increased year-on-year, Tesla Model Y saw a surge, up 896.8 percent year-on-year.
In terms of specific models, the sales volume of Haval 6 was 33,318 units, down 27.3 percent year-on-year, winning the championship. No matter how many models of Haval H6 there are, it started to be a little weak in January, and consumers have too much room to choose from. It has always been such a routine, and consumers are a little bit ignorant.
Changan Auto made two cars on the list. Changan CS75 and Changan CS55 sold 32,122 units and 29,851 units respectively, ranking second and third respectively. However, Changan CS75 fell by 22.8 percent year-on-year, and sales were a bit weak. Changan CS55 surged by 140.5 percent . percent , Changan Automobile's decline and rise were offset, and it was basically unchanged.
The sales volume of BYD Song was 22,449 units, a year-on-year increase of 46.8 percent , ranking fourth. BYD Auto successfully entered the top 15 in each market segment by relying on new energy vehicles. BYD Song is a representative of the SUV field and is also mainly responsible for sales.
Each BBA has one SUV on the list. Mercedes-Benz GLC sold 22,331 units, up 14.7 percent year-on-year, ranking fifth; BMW X3 sold 19,542 units, up 40.2 percent year-on-year, ranking seventh; Audi Q5 sold 17,062 units , down 2.8 percent year-on-year, ranking 11th; Tesla Model Y sales were 16,358, up 896.8 percent year-on-year, ranking 13th. The luxury car market is becoming more and more active, which further shows that the domestic automobile market consumption is upgrading, and the domestic luxury car market has great potential.
Qashqai sold 20,486 units, a year-on-year increase of 25.4 percent , ranking sixth. After Dongfeng Nissan launched the three-cylinder X-Trail last year, its sales plummeted, and it also fell out of the top 15 in the SUV segment. Only the Qashqai is responsible for the sales of the SUV segment, which is a little weak.
